Charger and Cord in One

Anker Power cord This may be one of the silliest things I have written about, but I love this power strip. Maybe five years ago, when I traveled, I always brought a three outlet strip with about a 1-foot cord. I found it helpful to be at a hotel when the outlet was behind the nightstand or inconvenient. It served me very well on more than one occasion.

I came across this Anker power strip and wanted to try it. It has a longer cord, two outlets, 2 USB-C charging ports, and 1 USB-A. The charger could deliver 65 watts of power, which is more than enough for my M2 MacBook Air and iPad Pro. The cord is neatly wrapped around the base when not needed and is reasonably compact.

On a recent trip, I was rearranging my backpack before leaving, and I removed the MacBook Air power supply for a minute and forgot to put it back in before leaving. With a USB-C cable, I was able to plug in and charge without any issue.

It is a little heavier than I would like at 11.28 ounces or 320 grams, but its functionality easily offsets the weight. It easily fits in the bottom of my backpack. Highly recommend.
